I’m a junkie for Nutrition blogs, videos, and books, never ceasing in my desire to learn more about how to nourish myself and my family so that we can learn and grow (and read more about nutrition!) And the more I learn, the more people come and ask for help with feeding their own families.

Working on wellness requires a dual focus: lifestyle and nutrition. Firstly, you need to design a lifestyle that will support you and also design a “food-style” that will help you thrive and grow! I can help you take a comprehensive look at your lifestyle and find ways to tweak it so that you can make space for exercise, rest, meditation/prayer, and creativity. Simultaneously, we look at your current eating and cooking habits, access which ones are fueling your vitality and which ones are weakening you. Focusing on a few core nutrition principles, we can then design a meal plan that will not only leave you feeling satiated, but alive and joyous!

So what are my core nutrition principles?

     1. The closer it is to it’s source, the more nutritious it is. A freshly picked apple is better for you than apple sauce in a can.
     2. Go for color! The orange in the carrot and purple in the beet are indicators of key nutrients. Get in as many colors as you can!
     3. Nutrient density matters. Calories don’t. If you focus on getting lots of nutrients, your body won’t be hungry trying to get what it needs.
     4. Fruits, Veggies, and Seeds, oh my! The more, the merrier.
     5. Spice it up! Your taste buds, digestion, and body will thank you. Spices connect us to yummy memories, are nutrient powerhouses, and taste so delicious!
     6. If it’s made in a factory, be wary. Corporations are in the business of making money as cheaply as possible – often at your body’s expense.

These principles are not rocket science, but they do take practice to engrave into our daily routine. I’m here to help you with that. (As is my kitchen, if necessary – I asked her; she agrees.) If you are here in Israel, I can also come to your kitchen and work with you “on the ground.”

Our relationship to food and our body’s relationship to digestion are both deeply connected to our mental and emotional states. Our beliefs about ourselves, the world, abundance/scarcity, and the purpose of food deeply affect what we put in our mouths and how we treat our bodies. It’s thus important when working on your wellness and nutrition program to also work on personal growth. They are deeply intertwined. To learn more about my Personal Growth Guidance, click here.
